Help, and reporting a problem

Most things that go wrong here have a ten-second fix, so those are first. If none of them is it, the buttons at the bottom open your own mail app with the useful details already filled in.

My credits or grades look wrong Your record is read from the NZQA PDF you imported, and it is a snapshot of the day you imported it. New results do not appear on their own. Download a fresh Record of Learning from NZQA and import it again on Account & settings — it merges rather than replaces, so nothing you have already banked is lost. My progress has disappeared Almost always one of three things, in order of likelihood: you are in a different browser or a private window; you are on a different level (L2 and L3 keep separate progress — check the badge at the top left); or site data was cleared. If you signed in, your work syncs and will come back on the next sign-in. If you never signed in, everything lives only in that one browser, which is what the privacy policy means by "no account needed". The site looks out of date, or a change I was told about is missing The site updates when it is deployed and your browser picks it up on the next load, but a cached page can be stubborn. A hard reload fixes it: Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac, Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows. You can check which version you have against the number in the footer. A page zoomed in and now scrolls sideways on my phone That was a real bug and it is fixed — iOS zooms the whole page when you tap a text field smaller than 16px and never zooms back out. Every field on the site is now at least 16px. If you still see it, that is worth reporting, and please say which page and which field. An interactive figure is blank or will not move Figures are drawn on a canvas and load only when you open the section they live in, so give it a moment after expanding. If it stays blank, a hard reload usually does it. Note that they deliberately stop animating when you scroll away or switch tabs — that is battery, not a fault. Every figure also works with reduced motion turned on: the play button steps instead of running. Something in the teaching content is wrong Please do report this — it matters more than any bug. The notes are written against NZQA's published standards and assessment specifications, and a mistake in them gets learned. Say which topic, quote the sentence, and if you can, say what the specification or marking schedule actually says.

Each button opens your own email app with a template and the version you're on. Nothing is sent from this page and nothing is collected here — you'll see the whole message before it goes.

What makes a report easy to act on

  • The page. Paste the address from the bar — the buttons above do this for you.
  • What you expected, and what happened instead. Two sentences beats a paragraph.
  • Phone or computer, and which browser, if you know.
  • Whether it happens every time or happened once.
  • A screenshot, if it is something you can see.

⚠️ Please don't send your NZQA record, login details, or anything with your name or NSN in it. Nothing here needs them, and the privacy policy exists so that your record never leaves your own browser — an email would be the one way around that.

Study Hub is not affiliated with NZQA. For anything about your actual results, entries or examinations, NZQA is the authority — this site can only ever reflect the record you gave it.
