What the grades require
One grade ladder, three words — the whole standard turns on the difference between them.📖 Terms the schedule grades you on
6 termsCover the right column and check you can say what each one means.
- Reflective analysis
- Achieved's word: naming a decision, the alternatives you rejected, why you chose as you did, and its consequence for the outcome — not just a description of what you built.
- In-depth
- Merit's word: the decision is traced through to a specific, concrete effect on the outcome, with evidence.
- Insightful
- Excellence's word: noticing something not obvious — an unanticipated consequence, or a trade-off you only understood afterwards.
- Decision category
- One of three the schedule names every year: tools and techniques, implications and end-user considerations, and stakeholder feedback.
- Stakeholder feedback
- Feedback from a client, teacher, user, or other stakeholder, and a decision you made or changed because of it.
- Future-proofing
- Designing so the outcome can be maintained and extended — documented code, modular structure, no hard-coded values, standard formats.
